Cloud County Historical Museum

The Museum preserves and exhibits objects and documents of historical items representing early-day Kansas. It is housed in the former 1908

Lone Elm Campground

Three miles south of Olathe on Lone Elm Road, on the main branch of the Santa Fe Trail, was the site of a spring (now enclosed in a small well)

Swimming Pool Complex

Cool off during those hot, Kansas summer days at the Grant County Swimming Pool Complex. The Complex has an outdoor olympic-size pool with diving area, two kiddie and toddler pools, and an olympic-size, heated, indoor lap pool.

The First Presbyterian Church

Designed by Charles W. Squires and built in 1897. The limestone block construction with multiple towers and large mitered, arched stained glass windows is typical of the Victorian influence. This church is an example of the Richardson Romanesque style.

John Redmond Fishing

Frequent flooding and resultant high reservoir levels makes fisheries management challenging. Flushing of fish through the dam gates does occur, and fish are numerous in the spillway below the dam. All anglers fishing in the spillway are required to wear personal floatation devices.

Ada Lutheran Church

Ada Lutheran Church is the most prominent limestone structure in southwest Republic County. The rock was quarried three miles west and hauled with hammer and chisel. Brit Spaugh Park And Zoo

Tucked in Brit Spaugh Park on North Main, the Zoo is great Bend's little jewel. Dedicated to the conservation, preservation and rescue of animals and the education and entertainment of both children and adults, the Zoo is a natural resource for Great Bend and its visitors.
